Floral Grace Sometimes,
the perfect dress sets the style and theme for the entire wedding. Once
she finds the perfect dress, a bride can clearly envision her wedding and
all the details that will make the day uniquely hers. When Jennifer found
her gown, she also found her theme, and her invitations became a preview
for the guests, hinting at the wedding’s elegant, feminine, and intimate
feel. Although
Jennifer and her fiancé Branden grew up in the same Iowa town, they
actually met for the first time hundreds of miles away, after they’d
slipped away to sample life in the Twin Cities. But when they discussed
their wedding day, they couldn’t imagine it anywhere but back in Iowa.
Jennifer’s parents’ gracious town estate became the setting of an
elegant backyard wedding, and she carefully selected every detail to make
sure her wedding was as memorable as the beautiful, emboidered gown she
chose. That
embroidery inspired the couple’s invitations. We found a paper with a
rich, pearlized floral motif that evoked the golden threadwork on
Jennifer’s gown. This paper made a simple wrap holding together the two
invitation cards. A double length of hemp thread strung with two small
amethyst beads tied the package together, whimsical yet elegant—just
like the wedding. Notes: On
the matching program, the bead serves a special purpose: Its weight is
just enough to keep the programs from blowing off tables in a light wind. Portfolio:
